About Food Bazaar

We devote aisles of space to international and mainstream groceries, a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy/frozen items and a custom meat-cutting department. In most of our stores we also offer a deli, bakery and a full-service fish market. Our stores are located in many different neighborhoods, each filled with numerous vibrant ethnicities and nationalities and their corresponding cultures and flavors which we cater to.

Located at 132 Fulton Ave, Hempstead, NY 11550, Food Bazaar operates as a chinese supermarket serving Hempstead in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Hempstead with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (516) 539-1994. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is foodbazaar.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 337 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese supermarkets in Hempstead.

Hempstead is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Hempstead follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Best supermarket in the town. Lots of variety and fresh vegetables

The store is huge and offers a wide variety of items. It is clean and impressive when you first come in. There is a lot of security in this store which makes you want to get what you need and get out before you get mugged. However, they seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other in their language than watching the activities inside the store. They didn't really move around much. Who knows? The produce was neatly stocked but pricey. I have to say it did look fresh and well rotated. I would have purchased produce here if I needed it but that wasnt the purpose of my visit. The other departments offered a lot as well but the prices tend to be high. I might as well shop at WF. I came here to buy some items that the other markets dont carry. I needed rose water and some herbs. The items were actually reasonable and so I would come back again. There is plenty of parking but just be careful in the lot.

Absolutely rude staff. I ask for help I have to speak into someone's phone on Google for them to help me. Nasty front manager short tiny indian woman I ask her to change a 20 for me to tip the seafood guys because it was over 100 dollars in fish. She said I cant help you and can't give you change . So why are you in the customer service.Today is my last day shopping here . I will take my buisness to shop fair few blocks away. The guys in the seafood department are quite lovely. Today my cashier was Mary and a very sweet young lady.

This is the best supermarket we’ve had in Hempstead in decades. It’s gorgeous. The prices are affordable, but it’s really beautiful and clean inside me and councilwoman. Goosby were proud to spend the morning here. You should definitely shop here.
